Prepare for the coolest dining experience ever! – The exclusive Sommelier & Chef’s table at Avenues Bistro. Pricing starts at a mere $75 per person which includes wine. Here’s the skinny:

 

The Chefs table is a ‘take the menu away’ wine dining affair. Chef’s Joe Birch and Mario Galan will give their undivided attention to the singular table of the evening putting out multiple courses until the guests’ call it quits.

 

Along the culinary journey, wine matches will be made by Wine Director Timothy O’Neal. Awarded Sommelier of the year by KC Magazine means you have the best at the helm of your pairings. And O’Neal will provide a good amount of wine education along the way too. There are three pricing levels (per person) for your consideration:

 

$75 – Here, you get a mixture of Executive Chef Mario Galan working from the menu and a unique off menu dish or two from Mr. Birch himself. Wine pairings feature unique selections to further elevate the cuisine.

 
$100 – We can surprise you (highly recommended) or tailor the dinner with heavier influence from the group. For example, a couple of wine dining regulars asked for an inspired menu from South Africa of all places. With a couple of weeks of research we did indeed rock their palates while sourcing some serious wine gems from the country to match. Anything goes at this level. (Available Wed, Thurs, Fri & Sat)

 
$$$ TWILIGHT ZONE – You now have the full attention of Joe Birch! Consider skipping the French Laundry and save on airfare and hotel costs. This name your own price will get you wine treasures and cuisine the likes of which rarely finds its way to Kansas City. How about real Kobe beef from Japan or Beluga caviar? Want to drink Sine Qua Non? (Google this wine as we get only two bottles a year) Joe Birch is recognized as one of the top 25 chefs in America by Chef Talk. Put down some big bucks and Joe ‘Big Dog’ Birch will deliver the goods! The possibilities are endless when you consider… beyond. The Twilight Zone starts at $125 and up. (Available Wed, Thurs, Fri, & Sat)

 

Note: Parties can indicate their desire to financially swing the focus on cuisine or on wine. Dinners can also be produced without wine for those who do not imbibe but want the ultimate cuisine.
